Guitar Lessons

Acoustic, electric, classical, and beyond.

About Guitar Lessons at SFLCM

Guitar is one of the most popular instruments in the world, and for good reason. Our guitar program covers acoustic, electric, classical, fingerstyle, and more — whatever style inspires you.

Guitar lessons are for ages 5 to adult, and plenty of our guitar students are adults picking up the instrument for the first time. 30-minute lessons work well for shorter attention spans; 45- and 60-minute lessons go deeper.

Why Learn Guitar Here?

Mauricio Silva's 20+ years of professional experience make our guitar faculty exceptional.

Your First Guitar Lesson

Your first visit is a paid trial lesson: a full private guitar lesson with the teacher you'll actually study with, who will assess readiness during the session. There's no contract and no obligation to continue, and if the fit isn't quite right, our front desk can schedule a second trial with a different teacher.

Lesson Lengths and Pricing

After the trial, guitar lessons are weekly, one-on-one and in person, on a monthly membership: $229 a month for 30-minute weekly lessons, $349 for 45 minutes and $419 for 60 minutes. You pay the same amount every month, and there's a one-time $59 registration fee when you enroll.

Guitar Instructors

What Students Work Toward

Guitar students go from first chords to real repertoire — the songs they actually want to play, with technique and reading along the way.

Students can perform at our quarterly student recitals in the SFLCM Concert Hall and every month at the Hollywood Art Walk, where SFLCM students and instructors play live outside our doors.

Where Lessons Happen

Lessons are at our downtown Hollywood studio, 1940 Harrison St, Suite 100, Hollywood, FL 33020, serving families from Hollywood, Hallandale Beach, Dania Beach and nearby.
